Ken Wirth

Why Ken Wirth?

Three things I have done repeatedly — not once by accident.

Skalierer, organisation builder, transformer. In that order — because growth without an organisation that carries it does not last, and no organisation carries growth it was never built for.

01

Scaler

„I scale revenue — predictably, not by chance.“

  • JobCloud: ~40% average annual growth by introducing programmatic job advertising; 30%+ market share by 2024.
  • XING E-Recruiting: revenue from €36M to €98M in three years, 40%+ YoY across DACH.
  • Personally closed the largest deal in XING's history — €5.8M.
  • Microsoft Austria: grew the CRM market from €0 to €10M in licence revenue — with a multiple of that in downstream project and solution business; 35% YoY growth in ERP and CRM.

02

Organisation builder

„I develop teams — and the structures they succeed in.“

  • JobCloud: 130+ people across sales, account management, customer success, operations and support — full commercial ownership, not a sales-only mandate.
  • XING: 10 teams, 120+ direct reports; customer success and SDR functions built up together with their dedicated managers, who carried the operational responsibility.
  • Microsoft Germany: built a MidMarket organisation of ~40 professionals including 3 managers, responsible for up to €400M annual revenue.

03

Transformer

„I re-aim commercial organisations.“

  • Deployed and governed Salesforce CRM at two organisations — as the owner of the rollout, not merely as a user.
  • Embedded MEDDIC as the standard qualification framework across every team led; differentiated methodologies for mid-market, enterprise and partner motions.
  • Built three partner ecosystems from scratch, including the top-performing Microsoft partner ecosystem in Western Europe.
  • Converted JobCloud from a freemium base into a programmatic enterprise engine — and held Swiss market leadership through the pandemic.
„I'm a senior commercial leader who builds — not just manages. Across 25 years and three greenfield GTM builds I've combined full P&L ownership, hands-on deal leadership, and a genuine, daily fluency in AI.“
Ken Wirth — looking for a build-or-scale mandate at VP, CRO or CSO level in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology, in DACH or across Europe.

In conversation

Four questions that always come up in a first conversation.

“What kind of situation suits you?”

Building and scaling, not administering. International B2B SaaS and platform businesses, and internationally growing mid-sized companies. I am most effective where a commercial organisation is being built or re-aimed — not where an existing one merely needs fine-tuning.

“Why you and not another sales executive?”

Because I have run sales as part of the business, not as a world of its own. I take an interest in the whole company and understand it — and my customers just as well. At JobCloud, operations, customer success and support were my responsibility alongside sales. Anyone who understands only their own function will eventually optimise it against the company.

“How do you know your work has worked?”

When the organisation keeps running after I leave. Structures, methodology and leadership layers have to function without me. Numbers prove a year — an organisation that holds proves a decade.

“What are you criticised for?”

I lead strictly by objectives. People who need more closeness experience that at first as too little interest — in them or in their work. The impression is understandable and I have encountered it more than once. I watch closely and am available at any time, but I do not intervene while the approach is holding. Micromanagement is not my way, nor is obsessing over detail — teams work in their own style. Experienced people value exactly that. For less experienced ones it is an adjustment that takes time.

A modern commercial leader for an AI-native era

Active, daily AI fluency — not a talking point

I use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot operationally every day — for sales strategy, market analysis and commercial execution — and keep training on them, most recently on Copilot, ChatGPT and AI agents in 2025/26. In a market where AI is reshaping go-to-market motions, buyer behaviour and internal productivity, that is hands-on fluency rather than borrowed language from a slide deck.
